P.S. Once the land is purchased and the farm is planted I hope to receive pictures that I can forward on to you!!!

P.S. 100% of your pledge will go towards this project. Your pledge is tax deductible.

My name is Maggie Wright and I am ten years old. Two years ago when I was in Mrs. Brock’s second grade class at Kerby Elementary School in Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan I learned about a girl named Annette that is my age. She lives in an orphanage/safe house called The Warm Hearts House and attends the Kwa Watoto School, both built and funded by The Warm Hearts Foundation, in Soweto, Kenya. This foundation has done so much for these children that it makes me want to help them with their 2008 wish list.

My goal is to walk ten miles and raise $10,000 so that the Warm Hearts Foundation can purchase land next to the orphanage and build a farm to help with the food needs of the children there.

The foundation has already done so much for these children by providing safe reliable water, classrooms for a primary school for grades K-8, and opening The Warm Hearts House.

These children need so much and we all have so much more than they do. Please pledge me and help me reach my goal. You can email me at with your pledge amount or with any questions. I will be walking the ten miles on Saturday, August 30th. (I will be training all summer so that I will be ready to walk the ten miles!) After the walk in August I will contact you to collect your pledges. Your checks can be mailed to Warm Hearts at 7292 Eldred, Rockford, MI 49341.

You can make your checks payable to the Warm Hearts Foundation. 100% of your donation goes to this project. Warm Hearts Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit corporation therefore your contributions are tax deductible. Please write Maggie’s Walk in the memo line of your check.

On behalf of the children of Kwa Watoto School (means ‘for the children’ in Swahili) and The Warm Hearts House I would like to say THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS YOU!!!!!!!!!
